Olivia is a lifelong member of the military community, passionate about expanding access to education, employment, and holistic support systems for military families.
Passion areas:
Raised in an Air Force family and now a proud Air Force spouse, Olivia brings a lifetime of lived experience and professional dedication to her advocacy for military families. Her career has centered on one clear mission: to serve those who serve. After earning a political science degree from the University of Alabama—where she first discovered her calling through work with the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs—she later pursued an MBA while caregiving full-time for her mother, a devoted military spouse and educator whose example of quiet strength continues to inspire her.
Over the years, Olivia has led student-focused programs supporting more than 5,000 military-affiliated learners across Texas, helped graduate frontline nurses at Galen College during the COVID-19 pandemic, and served as a national voice for military-connected students with Student Veterans of America. Today, she serves as Content Manager at the National Military Family Association, where she leads strategic storytelling efforts that elevate the voices and lived experiences of military families nationwide.
Her passion lies in addressing the interconnected issues that challenge military families: equitable access to education, meaningful spouse employment, and affordable, reliable childcare. Drawing from her own family’s journey—including her mother’s interrupted career and her father’s combat deployments—she advocates for holistic systems of support that prioritize the entire family unit.
Currently stationed in Georgia and preparing for another PCS, she finds grounding in everyday joys: cheering on Alabama football, walking her two energetic dogs, paddleboarding, and savoring time with her husband, Zach, and younger sister, Raya. With a heart for service and a deep understanding of military life’s complexity, Olivia is committed to shaping a future where military and veteran families can truly thrive.
