PCS Pantry Restock Box

We’re with you every step of the way

Military life brings constant change. MFAN helps military families navigate it with trusted resources, practical support, and programs built from real military family experiences. The PCS Pantry Restock Box, now at five military installations, is one of the ways we’re with you every step of the way.

In 2026, we’re expanding our PCS Pantry Restock Program to four new communities, in collaboration with CVS Health.

PCS moves come with real out-of-pocket costs. MFAN’s PCS Pantry Restock Box helps military families restock essential pantry and household items after a move and connect to additional support when needed. In 2025, we were able to provide 3,021 boxes in three communities across five installations. These boxes enabled 9,450 military-connected individuals, including 4,931 military kids, to settle into the new homes with household essentials to ease their transition.

Nothing. In collaboration with our amazing partners, the PCS Pantry Restock Box is provided at no cost to participating families.

No. Participation is private and voluntary. You do not need to notify your chain of command to receive support through this program.

Once enrolled through a participating installation, your box will be shipped directly to you. You’ll receive updates and shipping information by email.

At Fort Hood, families may also have the option to pick up a box in person at specific locations which include: Cavalry Family Housing community offices and Newcomers Orientation at ACS Spouses Connect.

Each box includes a variety of household and pantry essentials selected to support families during a move.

Most boxes arrive within 5–7 business days after shipment. At Fort Hood, boxes may be available for same-day pickup at the Cavalry Family Housing community offices and Newcomers Orientation at ACS Spouses Connect.

At this time, the program is generally intended as a one-time support resource per PCS move. If your family has additional needs, we encourage you to reach out so we can connect you with other resources.

The PCS Pantry Restock Box is currently available for families stationed at Fort Bliss, Fort Hood, Camp Lejeune, MCAS Cherry Point, MCAS New River, MacDill AFB, Naval Air Station Oceana, Naval Station Norfolk, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek/Fort Story, and Joint Base Langley-Eustis. We’re actively working to expand the program to include more installations, so please check back soon as we continue to grow.

Additional support may be available. After receiving your box, you will be invited to complete a short survey that could help connect your family to additional grocery support and other resources.
