Military Housing Roundtable

The Military Housing Roundtable (MHR) is a network of trusted, best-in-class stakeholders from organizations across the public and private sectors working to ensure that military and veteran families have access to healthy, safe, and affordable housing regardless of where the military sends them. Funded by Wells Fargo, the MHR convenes housing leaders and advocates and builds on best practices to develop and recommend policy and programmatic solutions.

Since 2020, there has been progress made around privatized military housing. The tenant bill of rights was created to protect military families’ living conditions and allow military families an active voice in determinations about the health and safety of their homes. Congress also enacted the largest-ever budget increase in military housing in the National Defense Authorization Act. But there is still critical work to be done.
