Let’s taco ’bout the week ahead…

May 04, 2020
Here we are in week seven of quarantine and even the introverts have worked through their Netflix queues and are longing for human interaction. And the extroverts? They’re having philosophical discussions with houseplants and making holiday plans with the mail carrier. Never fear, friends! Just as in weeks past, #MFANConnects has got you covered! This week is sponsored by Bank of America and we’re celebrating Cinco De Mayo with south of the border trivia, learning to use our smartphones to impress our Insta followers, and dusting off our formal wear for a home-bound soiree.
Be sure to watch our Facebook page this week so you don’t miss a thing!

Tuesday, May 5

When Cinco de Mayo falls on Taco Tuesday AND it’s #MFANConnects Trivia night, there’s really only one option: Mexican-themed Trivia, hosted by We Are the Mighty’s Tessa Robinson. Join us on Zoom to show us what you know about our neighbors to the south and BYOT (Bring Your Own Tacos)!

Hana’s Guilty Pleasures

Looking for a new show to binge? Need to fill the empty hours? Join MFAN Advisory Board Member Hana Romer at 6 p.m. Eastern on Facebook as she shares suggestions this week for fun ways to laugh your way through quarantine.

Thursday, May 7

Ever wondered how your friend who isn’t even a photographer manages to snap such stunning Instagram shots with her phone? Wonder no more! Join us on Facebook, where Carol Solorzano of D’Corzo Photography is going to walk us all through how to use that amazing device we already carry everywhere to capture FOMO-inspiring images. We can’t take vacations now, so let’s get ready for when we can again.

Friday, May 8

After weeks of athleisure wear, we all need an excuse to get dressed up. Grab that ball gown or suit from the back of your closet and join MFAN and Operation Deploy Your Dress for a fancy-pants Girls & Guys Night In in honor of Military Spouse Appreciation Day. (Let’s all say a collective prayer that we can still get our zippers zipped!) Watch MFAN’s Facebook page this week for more details.

As always, we’re in this together and we’ll get through it together. Stay strong, stay healthy, and meet us online until we can all meet again.
