MFANConnects Events, April 13-17

April 10, 2020

Another week of quarantine seems surreal, doesn’t it? Even for those who haven’t been personally touched by COVID-19, it’s strange to see neighbors walking around in face masks. The days seem to blend into each other and, after weeks at home, we’re even hearing children say they wish they were back in school. These are difficult and unusual days to be sure, but our country and our military community have endured worse.

We are strong, we are resilient, and we are in this together.

Speaking of face masks, last week thousands of you watched our #MFANConnects sewing tutorial with R. Riveter’s Cameron Cruse! The tutorial could not have come at a better time and Cameron’s calm teaching style made the project easy.

Then, on Friday, hair stylist Josh Gray-Heim joined MFAN’s Executive Director Shannon Razsadin on Facebook Live to teach her how to cut her husband’s hair. Desperate times call for desperate measures. You can watch that video here.

We want to keep bringing you entertaining and informative events like these, so please let us know if there’s something you’d like to see. Here’s what we’ve got planned for this week:
