Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers (RCI)

Operation Family Caregiver (OFC) is RCI’s signature military and veteran caregiver support program. OFC offers a one-of-a-kind, evidence-based coaching program tailored to the unique needs of military caregivers. OFC empowers and supports caregivers, families, friends and supporters of returning service members and veterans with 8 sessions of free, confidential,1:1 coaching sessions, delivered by coaches who truly understand the challenges faced by military and veteran caregivers.

OFC utilizes a problem-solving approach to help navigate the difficult terrain of providing care for both visible and invisible wounds. This one-on-one caregiver coaching program is delivered virtually through video conferencing and follow-up phone calls over a period of 2–4-months at the convenience of the caregiver.

The newest addition to the RCI family of support programs is Operation Caregiver Support (OCS). OCS is a virtual peer support group for those who provide care to post-9/11 service members and veterans, and is designed to foster connections, cultivate new skills, and create a community of support. We host 3 general groups and two specialty groups per month, parents caring for their veteran children and Spanish speaking caregivers.
