Operation Family Caregiver (OFC) is RCI’s signature military and veteran caregiver support program. OFC offers a one-of-a-kind, evidence-based coaching program tailored to the unique needs of military caregivers. OFC empowers and supports caregivers, families, friends and supporters of returning service members and veterans with 8 sessions of free, confidential,1:1 coaching sessions, delivered by coaches who truly understand the challenges faced by military and veteran caregivers.
OFC utilizes a problem-solving approach to help navigate the difficult terrain of providing care for both visible and invisible wounds.This one-on-one caregiver coaching program is delivered virtually through video conferencing and follow-up phone calls over a period of 2–4-months at the convenience of the caregiver.
Prepared Caregivers supports caregivers of Veterans and the unique challenges they may face in times of disaster so they are better prepared for even the most difficult days.
Prepared Caregivers is made up of plans, advice, insight and conversation prompts for caregivers of Veterans, with customizable checklists designed to create a plan suited to caregivers’ unique needs. Resources include but are not limited to:
