The American Red Cross provides services to the military, veterans, and their families; disaster preparedness and relief, health and safety education and training, youth programs, blood drives and community networking. The Antelope Valley Chapter covers 4300 square miles, encompassing 40 percent of Los Angeles County and 50 percent of Kern County in Southern California. This area includes the military installations of Edwards AFB, China Lake Naval Weapons Center, and Air Force Plant 42.
