The American Red Cross offers support for military families through food, clothing, and financial support. In the event of an emergency, critical accident, illness or death in a service member’s immediate family, the American Red Cross should be called at once. The American Red Cross is the only agency authorized and equipped to verify the situation and then forward the information to the proper military authorities.
