The Army at Redstone Arsenal offers two Child Development Centers, all for the families of Redstone Arsenal. The centers provide a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to
5 years old, and are staffed by competent, trained and nurturing child care providers. They offer full-day and hourly care for children in stimulating environments that use age-appropriate curriculum and activities to develop motor, cognitive, social, emotional, physical and creative skills through a balance of exploration and planned curriculum. Learning activities are designed to support the natural development of children and include individual, small-group and large-group experiences. In addition, the two Army-operated CDCs offer a “Parents Night Out” on the third Saturday of each month from 6 to11 p.m.
