Andia Dinesen

Andia Dinesen is an Air Force spouse, a volunteer, and the vice president of communications and operations for the Association of Military Banks of America (AMBA). She lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and their two daughters.

 

Along with assisting the president/CEO of AMBA, Andia aims to sustain close working relationships with organizations and groups such as the U.S. Department of Defense’s Office of the Under Secretary for Personnel and Readiness, Service-level banking liaison officers, additional stakeholders working in military financial readiness, and many others.

She has volunteered in the military community for over 15 years, serving as a Key Spouse Mentor and working at a thrift shop on base. She has also been a member of several Spouses’ Clubs and volunteered at several Airman and Family Readiness Centers. And in 2010, she was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Volunteer award at Laughlin Air Force Base.

Andia graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is incredibly passionate about financial education, and since 2009 has worked to support such education in the military community. In 2011, she received her Accredited Financial Counselor certification from the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE). From 2011 to 2013, she was the coordinator for the Military Saves Campaign at the Consumer Federation of America in Washington, D.C., and from 2013 until now, she has worked with AMBA. She is also on the Career Task Force for AFCPE.
