Catherine L. Hunter counsels investment banks, private investment funds, and global institutional investors on their investments in domestic and international private investment funds, including hedge funds, venture capital funds, secondary funds, and other private investment funds.
In addition, she represents buyers and sellers of private fund interests in the secondary market.
Leadership Experience: Before joining Morgan Lewis, Catherine served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office.
Catherine is frequently called on for her subject matter expertise in investment management, mergers & acquisitions, corporate, finance & investment management, and institutional investors. She recently spoke at 2021 Annual Private Fund Investors Roundtable, participating in the State of the Private Funds Market webinar.
Accomplishments: Ms. Hunter has admissions to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
In 2017, Catherine was designated as a Member of the Practice Group of the Year, Asset Management by Law360.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Lafayette College and a Juris Doctor from New York Law School.
