Derek Doyle

Derek leads the creation and implementation of MFAN’s external-facing communication strategies – including content creation, media relations, government affairs, and outreach.

A senior communications strategist, Derek specializes in brand management, mission advancement, and resource development. He has built a reputation for bridging the gap between public and private entities – helping non-profit organizations find their voice and bring their cause to life, private companies identify avenues to propel corporate social responsibility forward, and everyone in between tell their story with authentic, measured impact.

Prior to joining MFAN, Derek served as the communications director for The Congressional Award Foundation, the United States Congress’ award program for youth. In this role, he gained an appreciation for military families when forming strategic partnerships with military installations across the nation.

Doyle holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Roanoke College and served as a Fowler Legacy Scholar for Federal Affairs in Washington, D.C. He is a recipient of the Rotary Club of Ethics Award and was selected as a volunteer leader with The Ability Experience.

Derek lives in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife and two children. When off the clock, he enjoys logging miles as an endurance athlete, honing his photography skills, and chasing his two kids around the backyard.
