E.J. Smith

E.J. Smith is a licensed counselor, mental health advocate, and writer. She focuses primarily on crisis response and healing following sexual assault, domestic violence, and other traumatic events. She has experience working with survivors in a variety of settings, including community agencies, military installations, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and the federal prison system.

 

As a writer and speaker, E.J. addresses topics of resilience and personal empowerment for survivors of traumatic events. Her work has been published on EngagedMarriage.com, MilitarySpouse.com, NextGenMilSpouse.com, and MilitaryPartners.org, among others.

E.J. is a graduate of the University of Scranton and Walden University. She has advanced training in several therapeutic techniques specifically designed to address post-traumatic stress disorder. In her free time, she enjoys working out and exploring local coffee shops in her new home of Alexandria, Virginia.
