As a data analyst, Jessica supports MFAN’s research projects, including the Military Family Support Programming Survey. Dr. Luckhardt codes, synthesizes, and performs quality control to uphold MFAN’s scientific and methodological rigor.
Prior to her 15 years in secondary and higher education classrooms, Jessica worked with AmeriCorps non-profits: City Year Detroit, Teach for America, and AmeriCorps – St. Louis in various roles.
Her academic background includes a Master’s in Multicultural Literature (thesis: Building Cultural Competence through Multicultural Fiction) and a Ph.D. in Human Science (dissertation: Student Perspectives on Racial Justice). Jessica’s professional interests include social justice, civic service, and cultural humility. At home, Jessica is a proud wife and mother who enjoys time outdoors with family, friends, and her dogs.
