Judith K. Ramos, MSAT, CPA

Judy is an executive financial leader with more than 20 years of full‑cycle accounting experience, including nonprofit finance, auditing, grants management, systems implementation, and operations. She brings deep technical expertise and lived military family experience to her role, where strong financial management directly supports meaningful impact.

Judy leads MFAN’s financial strategy and decision‑making, including oversight of capital allocation, investment strategy, and financial systems. She serves as a strategic and hands‑on partner guiding MFAN’s financial operations, long‑term sustainability, and organizational resilience. Judy brings extensive nonprofit financial expertise and the ability to translate complex financial insights into clear, actionable guidance that strengthens MFAN’s ability to serve military families.

MFAN’s mission resonates deeply with Judy because it reflects her own experience as the spouse of a Marine Corps veteran. She and her husband, Rey, raised their three children through multiple deployments and duty stations and understand firsthand the challenges military families face across service, separation, and post‑service transition. Her extended family includes a long history of military service across multiple branches, grounding her commitment to strengthening the systems that support military families.

A champion for operational resilience and financial clarity, Judy is a subject matter expert in technical accounting, internal controls, nonprofit regulatory compliance, fund accounting, investment management, and enterprise system implementations. Her leadership is defined by collaboration, integrity, and a commitment to building cross‑functional systems that empower teams and reinforce MFAN’s mission.

Prior to joining MFAN, Judy served as Vice President, Finance & Operations for a statewide community foundation, where she led financial strategy, grantmaking operations, information technology, human resources, and organizational transformation. Before that, she was the Controller for a statewide youth and family focused nonprofit organization, following her early career in public accounting. Judy holds both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Idaho. She has earned awards for financial stewardship and operational leadership.

Judy lives in rural Idaho with her husband, Rey, a Marine Corps veteran, and a lively group of animals — including a couple of proud members of Team MFUR. Outside of work, she has volunteered for numerous nonprofit organizations, including serving as Paymaster for the local Young Marines. She enjoys cooking, traveling, history, and spending time outdoors.
