Kristin Untisz is a philanthropy leader and brings her strong nonprofit background to MFAN as Director of Philanthropy. She is driven by a commitment to building trusted partnerships and stewarding philanthropic investments that create lasting impact for military-connected families.
Kristin serves as Director of Philanthropy for MFAN, where she leads fundraising efforts and builds meaningful partnerships in support of military-connected families. She joined MFAN with a strong background in nonprofit development and volunteer engagement for military-serving organizations, stewarding philanthropic investments, including six- and seven-figure grants, to support long-term growth.
Her connection to the military community is personal: Kristin’s husband served 14 years active duty in the Air Force and currently serves in the Reserves. As a Military Spouse, she understands firsthand the unique challenges and opportunities of military life. Kristin brings passion and dedication to her work by cultivating relationships and partnerships grounded in collaboration and trust to create positive change for military families.
Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies (minor in Marketing) from Wilkes University and a Certificate in Grant Writing and Management from the Georgia Center for Nonprofits. She lives in Mississippi with her husband, two children, and their labradoodle.
