Marie has built much of her professional and volunteer experience around strengthening communities and helping people feel connected. Her background includes military family support, nonprofit work, administration, and project management, as well as hands-on community involvement throughout her husband’s military journey. She has served on a Resident Advisory Board, taken on leadership roles with Girl Scouts, supported efforts addressing food insecurity, and worked alongside a variety of military and community organizations.
Advocacy is especially important to Marie. She believes families should not only know what resources are available to them but also feel comfortable speaking up about what their communities need. She enjoys bringing people together, listening to their experiences, and helping turn concerns and ideas into meaningful connections and action.
Marie holds an Associate of Science in Nonprofit Management from Colorado Christian University and is continuing her education in Project Management. She hopes to use her education, professional experience, and perspective as an Army spouse to continue strengthening military communities across Washington and helping families feel supported through every season of military life.
When she isn’t working, volunteering, or finding another way to get involved in her community, Marie enjoys reading, plants, and spending time with her family. She also loves a good thrift-store find, so there’s a pretty good chance you’ll find her treasure hunting through the racks with a Dutch Bros in hand.
