Maura Angel

Throughout Maura’s career, she has held various roles in the nonprofit sector. Her background is in fundraising, event planning, and project management. Maura holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Rhodes College and a master’s degree in nonprofit management with a concentration in project management from Northeastern University.

Maura has dedicated her career to helping others and improving the capacity of nonprofit organizations. Her work in nonprofits includes partnerships with music cultural centers, a homeless housing agency, a direct care organization for adults with developmental disabilities, and a health and wellness organization. Her passion for nonprofits began as an AmeriCorps VISTA where she executed fundraising events to support formerly homeless individuals and families, many of whom were veterans. There she specialized in developing procedures and streamlining operations to better help the organization effectively and efficiently fulfill its mission.

Her Grandfather served in WWII and she has several extended family members who continue to serve their country. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, exercising, and frequent trips to the beach with her husky, Lu.
