Rebecca Gluskin

Rebecca Gluskin, PhD, is a data scientist, public health researcher, and strategic analytics leader dedicated to advancing evidence-informed solutions that improve health equity and community well-being. With over 15 years of experience spanning nonprofit, government, healthcare, and corporate sectors, Rebecca brings rigorous methodology and a deep commitment to translating complex data into meaningful policy and programmatic impact. 

Rebecca leads and has led cross-functional efforts that integrate data science, epidemiology, and analytics to better understand the social, economic, and environmental factors shaping a population. Her work emphasizes methodological excellence, reproducible research, and making technical insights accessible to non-technical audiences, from community advocates to C-suite executives and federal policymakers. 

Throughout her career, Rebecca’s analytical work has driven tangible change at scale. Her research has informed a $6.75 billion federal investment in disconnected youth, contributed to a $150 million expansion of trauma center capacity in New York, and supported a $25 million global public health grants portfolio spanning more than a dozen countries. She has raised over $1 million in philanthropic funding and has presented her work at venues including the Obama White House Opportunity Project. 

Rebecca is a subject matter expert in environmental epidemiology, composite indicators, survey data analysis, public health informatics, value-based care, and civic data platform development. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, NPR, ProPublica, The Washington Post, and other national outlets, and she has published in leading peer-reviewed journals including the American Journal of Public Health and Environmental Health Perspectives. 

Dr. Gluskin earned her doctorate in environmental epidemiology from New York University, where she also completed her master’s degree in molecular toxicology. She holds a bachelor’s degree in ecological health from McGill University. In addition to her professional work, Rebecca serves as Finance Board Chair for Climate Ed USA, where she leads financial oversight in support of climate literacy education for youth. Rebecca lives in Brooklyn with her family. Outside of work, she enjoys cycling, volunteering as a soccer coach, a Girl Scout Troop leader, and a community organizer.
