Sid Velandy

Sid is the COO for Cloud, AI, and Database platforms at Citadel. Sid began his finance career at Goldman Sachs, where he spent a decade in roles across the Legal, Engineering, and Global Markets divisions. Prior to this, Sid served for ten years on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps both at home and abroad. As the son of immigrants, he wanted to serve and was drawn to the challenge and ethos of the Marines.

His experiences in both the military and in finance are united by a common thread: the opportunity to work alongside teams with an unwavering desire to win. This exposure to high-performing individuals, committed to excellence in their respective fields, has profoundly shaped his leadership philosophy.

Sid is a graduate of Muhlenberg College, the University of Connecticut, and Harvard Law School. He lives with his wife, son, and loyal dog in New York City.
