Tierney Smith

Tierney serves as Regional Manager, overseeing programs in Texas and Florida. She brings more than a decade of experience in community outreach, program management, and nonprofit advocacy. Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of policy and people, building partnerships, leading stakeholder engagement efforts, and advancing initiatives that strengthen communities and improve outcomes for families.

Prior to joining MFAN, Tierney served in advocacy roles in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Pennsylvania State Senate, and several nonprofit organizations, where she developed expertise in coalition building, strategic communications, and program implementation. Her passion for service is rooted in her commitment to supporting military and veteran families and ensuring their voices are reflected in programs and policies that affect their daily lives.

Tierney holds a Master of Social Work degree and is a proud military spouse to Brandon, who has served on active duty in the U.S. Navy for 24 years. Together, they are raising their two children, Rosie and Russell. In her free time, Tierney enjoys exploring the Tampa Bay area, traveling, reading, and soaking in the Florida sunshine with her family.
