February 06, 2024

Retired federal executive brings decades of military personnel and quality of life experience to supporting military families

ARLINGTON, VA (February 6, 2024) – The Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN) Board of Directors unanimously elected Ms. Delores Johnson Davis, a retired federal executive, as Chair of the nonprofit’s Board of Directors. She follows the Honorable Rosemary Williams who served as Chair for six years, playing a critical role in MFAN’s founding and growth.

“I had the great fortune of serving on the MFAN Board alongside Delores over the last two years. Anyone who has worked with military families knows Delores and her remarkable good work while leading family programs for the US Army in various roles for decades,” said Ms. Williams. “I look forward to continuing to support MFAN—the impact this organization has on the lives of military families and the rigor they bring to all they do is unmatched.”

Ms. Johnson Davis is regarded for her expertise in leadership and policy, which she honed over decades of public service. Most notably, Ms. Johnson Davis served as the Senior Professional for Strategic Integration (Human Dimension) in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs) from 2015 to 2019.

“I am honored to assume this important leadership role at MFAN and am grateful for Rosemary’s leadership throughout her tenure as Board Chair,” said Ms. Johnson Davis. “MFAN’s approach is unique and highly effective. It is my privilege to work alongside the talented staff as we continue to grow in service to military families.”

Under Ms. Johnson Davis’ leadership, the Board of Directors will support the staff through multiple highly anticipated milestones this year, including a data release, Solutions Summit, and the scaling of the MFANetwork pilot—a first-of-its-kind collaborative and data-informed program designed to ease transitions for military families.
