We are dedicated to improving the lives of military and veteran families. A core piece of that work is examining ways to enhance the health and well-being of these family members, including addressing food insecurity and combating loneliness.
Our research has shown:
- Better access to health care appointments is a perennial need for military and veteran families.
- The greatest obstacle to accessing mental health care has been the ability to get appointments.
- Challenges like substance misuse, loneliness, and intimate partner violence exist in the military community.
